Grain bins have uses far beyond the farm! A recent purchase by Grinder Tabar Grinder shows how a familiar structure can serve a creative purpose in an industrial setting.
For one of their projects in the Memphis, Tennessee, area, Grinder Tabar Grinder purchased a 15×9 grain bin from Rocky Top Structures. The bin was placed on top of a concrete silo, creating a distinctive finishing touch with a practical purpose.
Louvers will be added to the sides of the bin to provide ventilation for the waste management system housed inside the concrete structure. The design brings together the project’s ventilation needs and an attractive exterior, adding curb appeal to a working industrial installation.
The photos show the bin in place, with its corrugated metal exterior topping the tall concrete silo. It’s a great example of a customer seeing possibilities beyond a grain bin’s traditional use.
