A Lifelong Passion for Quality Structures

By the time I reached my early twenties, that early hands-on experience turned into a full-time career. I partnered with my dad and brother to own and operate a portable deck company in Texas, where I primarily managed the installation side of things. Spending years on-site taught me exactly what it takes to build a structure that stands the test of time.

Planting Roots in Middle Tennessee

In 2024, I felt a calling to move to Macon County, Tennessee. It didn't take long for this incredible community to feel like home. Looking to bring my lifetime of industry experience to our neighbors here, my business partner, Nate Yoder, and I officially founded Rocky Top Structures in June of 2025.

Because I've grown up around portable buildings, carports, and outdoor structures, I have developed a sharp eye for quality and detail. There is truly nothing I enjoy more than sitting down with a client, listening to their vision, and helping guide their project from a simple idea to the exact custom structure that fits their lifestyle and needs.

Beyond the Lot

When I'm not at Rocky Top Structures, I love to travel. Exploring new places has always been a great way for me to broaden my horizons, and I've been blessed to go on a number of rewarding out-of-country mission trips over the years. At the end of the day, though, nothing beats simply spending quality time with the people around me.

Above all, I am deeply thankful to God for His countless blessings in my life. My ultimate goal—both personally and through Rocky Top Structures—is to use the gifts and experience I've been given to be a true blessing to the community He has placed me in.

Our Story

The journey behind Rocky Top Structures began rooted in the portable shed industry, where I grew up learning the ins and outs of quality craftsmanship. I spent close to five years in the building department—call me a perfectionist if you want, but I wasn't completely satisfied until every detail of the barn I was building was completed to my specs!

In 2006, I transitioned into the concrete industry in Kentucky, eventually launching my own business, Nate's Concrete, in 2012. In 2016, through a series of events, we relocated to Macon County, Tennessee. We quickly fell in love with the area, brought the concrete business with us, and I enjoyed serving many wonderful local families and businesses for nearly a decade.

A New Chapter

By 2025, a new calling arose. Our family was asked to go serve at a mission in Virginia for several years. After much prayer and seeking the Lord's will, we sold our concrete business and moved to Virginia in May of that year. However, our deep roots and passion for the Macon County community have remained unchanged, and when we are done with our term of service we hope to return, Lord willing.

Before leaving for Virginia, I partnered with Duane Hershberger to officially launch Rocky Top Structures. By combining a lifetime of construction experience and an unwavering commitment to integrity, Duane and I set out with a clear mission: to provide top-quality structures and unmatched customer service to Macon County and the surrounding communities.
